(a) Give a short account of the fight that happened during Act 1, Scene 1.
Sampson and gregory prepares to fight the Montagues, they tried to provoke them by making a rude face at the Montagues. The Capulet's servants and the Montagues' servants started fighting. Here comes two of the moasters from both of the sides. Beonvolio and Tybalt started fighting while Benvolio tries to calm the whole situation. Three or four townspeople of Verona walk passed and started fighting too. Lord Capulet with his wife and Lord Montagues with his wife arrives. Lord Capulet and Lord Montagues wanted to fight too but thier wife stopped them, Prince Escalus arrived. He stopped the fight and chat with them to find out the reason how they started fighting.
(b) Whose fault is it?
I think both of the sides, Capulets and Montagues family are at fault but the Capulets are in the wrong first as the Capulets' servants provoked the Montagues family by making a rude face at them first. Both of the sides are in the wrong place because they started fighting with each other, later in the play, Lord Capulets and Lord Montagues started fighting .
